Terms of Use

Last updated November 1, 2026

These terms cover your use of this website, tapwright.app, and of the Tapwright apps (together, the "Service"), provided by Tapwright ("Tapwright", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them.

Customers and their staff

Businesses that subscribe to Tapwright ("customers") do so under a separate written agreement. If that agreement and these terms disagree, the agreement wins. If you use the apps because your employer is a customer, your employer decides who has access and what you can see, and you use the apps on their behalf.

Your account

  • Keep your PIN and sign-in to yourself, and tell your manager if you think someone else has used them.
  • You are responsible for what is done under your sign-in.
  • Enter information honestly. Tip, cash and inventory records are business records.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • try to reach data or tools you have not been given access to;
  • interfere with, overload or probe the security of the Service;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer the Service; or
  • use the Service for anything unlawful.

Data

Customers own the data they put into Tapwright. We use it only to provide and support the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Tapwright owns the software, design, names and characters that make up the Service.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and accurate, and we improve it over time. Features described on this website as planned or upcoming are not promises of a date. We may suspend access that threatens the Service or other customers.

Disclaimers

Except as a customer's agreement says otherwise, the Service is provided "as is". Tapwright helps you calculate tips, cash and stock, but each business remains responsible for its own payroll, tax, banking and legal obligations and for checking the figures it relies on.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, and except as a customer's agreement says otherwise, Tapwright is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for a significant change we will tell our customers before it takes effect.
